Outlet Installation

We install additional outlets where you need them, including standard, GFCI, and USB outlets throughout your home.

Chapter 01

Extension cords everywhere is the sign

If your house has power strips daisy-chained behind the couch and a cord snaking across the kitchen, you don't have a cord problem, you have an outlet problem. Cords run under rugs overheat, cheap strips overload, and old two-slot receptacles can't take a grounded plug. Some newer homes simply weren't given enough places to plug in.

Kitchens, baths, garages and outdoor spots hurt most, because those are where water and power sit nearest each other. A shop saw, a deep freezer and a phone charger all want their own place to plug in, and homeowners in Kemp and Seven Points feel the shortage first when they add one more appliance.

Standard, GFCI and USB, and where the wire comes from

Justin picks the outlet to match the place. Standard receptacles for the living room, GFCI where there's water, in kitchens, baths, garages and outside, and USB outlets where you'd rather not hunt for a charger brick. Weather-resistant covers go outdoors, and tamper-resistant devices go where kids are around.

Then comes the real question: a new home run or extending what's there. If the circuit has capacity he can tie in and fish wire through the wall. If it's already loaded, or the new outlet is for a big appliance, he runs a fresh line from the panel. Either way the connections are tight, the box is the right size, and a tester proves it.

Chapter 03

Check the circuit, not only the outlet

Adding an outlet is a chance to look at the rest of the circuit. Justin checks that the breaker matches the wire, that the neighbors on that line aren't loose or warm, and that GFCI protection covers what it should. A tester on every receptacle tells him in seconds what the eye can't.

Labor is under his five-year labor warranty, and homeowners in Athens and Frankston can call (903) 218-3632 about a list of outlets, not just one. Bunch them into a single visit and you save a second trip. Justin tests each new receptacle for correct wiring and working GFCI protection before he packs up, and he'll show you the tester so you can see for yourself.
