A new service starts where the utility hands off. Meter base and disconnect go up on galvanized posts or a strut rack, bonded and grounded, square to the house or the shop it feeds.
Disconnect
A rack you can read from the gravel
On a metal building the disconnects ride a strut rack beside the meter, so the next person who needs to kill the power finds it in one look. Justin bolts it up himself.
Feeder
Underground to the house, the barn or the pool
When the run has to cross the yard it goes underground: trench, conduit, conductors sized for the load at the far end, and the lawn put back the way it was.

Every breaker tested, not guessed
At the panel the work is measured: clamp meter on the circuits, a look at every termination, labels that match what each breaker really feeds. That is where tripping breakers and warm covers get their answer.
