Chapter 01

Dark lots, failing ballasts, and the bill you stopped reading

Walk a tired commercial building at dusk and the story tells itself. Half the parking lot is dark, a few fixtures hum or flicker, and the ones that still work are old enough to waste power on every hour they burn. Good lighting creates a productive work environment while reducing energy costs, and plenty of buildings around Athens are leaving both on the table.

Failing ballasts are the usual first sign. A ballast that is dying buzzes, strobes the tube, and wastes power while the light gets dimmer. Replace the tube a few times without touching the ballast and you have paid for the same repair again and again. Justin Zimmerman looks at the whole fixture and the circuit feeding it before recommending anything.

LED upgrades, lot poles, and layouts built around the space

Our commercial lighting installations include LED upgrades, parking lot lighting, and custom solutions designed for your specific needs. In practice that means a walk-through first. Justin notes mounting heights, what the space is used for, which fixtures can be retrofit and which should come out entirely, and where the existing conductors will carry a new load without being replaced.

Pole lights get their own attention: the base, the underground feed, the photocell or timer, and the wire nuts nobody has seen in ten years. High-bay fixtures in a shop or garage are set on a grid so the light lands on the work rather than the rafters. Each circuit is checked and labeled when the work is done.

Chapter 03

Controls, upkeep, and who answers when a pole goes dark

Controls are where a lighting job quietly pays for itself or quietly fails. Photocells that stick on, timers that drift after a power blip, and switch banks nobody can decode all keep lights burning when no one needs them. Justin labels every switch and sets the schedule with the person who actually opens and closes the building.

When a pole goes dark at ten at night in Malakoff or Mabank, it is a safety question as much as a lighting one. The work comes with a five-year labor warranty, and you can reach Justin directly at (903) 218-3632. Call about one failing fixture or a whole lot, and you get the same person either way.

Justin was honest, quick, and just a great experience overall.
