Electric Car Charger Installation
Make electric vehicle ownership more practical with a professionally installed EV charging station at your home or business.
Chapter 01
Will the panel carry a car charger overnight, every night?
Plugging a car in for the night is a long, steady draw, and many older home panels run close to the limit already. Add a Level 2 charger on top of the dryer, the range and the AC and the main may start tripping in July. Making EV ownership practical begins with that unglamorous question: what does the service have left?
Justin Zimmerman answers it by measuring, not guessing. He reviews the panel, the breakers already in it, and what the house runs at the same time. Sometimes the answer is a single dedicated circuit and nothing else. Sometimes it is a panel upgrade first. Either way you hear which it is before any work begins, and why.

Assess, recommend, wire, install
The process runs in a plain order: assess your electrical infrastructure, suggest the appropriate charger, and perform a safe installation. The assessment looks at the distance from the panel to where the car parks, because a long garage run changes the conductor size, and at whether the garage wall or an outside post makes the better mounting spot.
Installation is a dedicated circuit with a properly sized breaker and wire to match, a hardwired or receptacle connection depending on the charger, and a disconnect where the situation calls for one. Outdoor units get weather-rated fittings and sealed entries. Justin tests the circuit, confirms the charger talks to the car, and shows you how to read its status lights before leaving the driveway.
Chapter 03
A second car, a new truck, and the circuit you will want later
Households change. The second EV arrives, or the daily driver becomes a larger battery. When the first install leaves a spare conduit path and a panel with room, the next charger is a small job. When it does not, it can mean cutting into finished walls. Justin asks about your plans for the next few years before he sizes anything.
Homeowners in Mabank, Bullard and Athens get a five-year labor warranty on the installation. If the breaker trips mid-charge, the cord feels hot, or the charger throws a fault you cannot clear, call (903) 218-3632. A warm plug is never normal. A charger should be dull to live with, and if yours is not, Justin wants the call.
